As Christmas fast approaches we want to share the story of three generations of fantastic volunteers.
It all started with one lady who decided to do something different with her Christmas Day, so she offered up help cooking at a local event. She brought along her husband who decided to help out in his own way by picking up and dropping off guests who would otherwise have no transport. Then their daughter decided to join in to chat away with older people who would otherwise have nowhere to go. Then, in 2014/2015, the husband’s parents had heard such good things about their local event that they also came along. Together they have all gotten involved ever since.
What better family tradition could there be than all getting together to drive, cook, entertain and brighten older people’s Christmas Days with companionship and good cheer? None that we know of!
