On day four of our countdown to Christmas, we want to tell you about a young man from High Wycombe.
This young man was in his early twenties, and initially nervous about helping out at a Christmas Day event in his community, but ended up thoroughly enjoying himself and making new friends across the generations.
After he’d taken part, and returned home, he wrote to us to say ‘You’ve given me the bug…’.
‘Oh no!’ we thought, ‘Is he ill?’. Our heads filled with worry that attendees and volunteers has been poorly across the town, until we read on, ‘…so I went down to Wycombe last night to feed the homeless.’
You see, big change starts with little steps, and Christmas Day is the perfect first step on the journey to stronger communities and more connected people.
