The feeling of isolation is one that is felt all too often in those with hearing loss says Age UK Hearing Aids, “Following a discussion within a group of people requires intense effort and communication can become difficult, all of which can quickly lead to isolation and frustration.”

Community Christmas has recently featured in an article by Age UK Hearing Aids, which outlines a number of ways to manage hearing loss at Christmas. Community Christmas aren’t hearing loss specialists, but can certainly give those with hearing loss a Christmas to remember.

Where Community Christmas comes in is that we help people find events near them where they can meet other people and feel that festive Christmas spirit. No elderly person in the UK should be on their own on Christmas Day unless they want to be, and our event search service can help people take that first step of finding somewhere that will welcome them with open arms.
