I ended up speaking to a nice lady who told me about a group doing Sunday teas and other things I could do during the year

Day 22 of the Community Christmas Advent Calendar – It’s not too late!

There is still time to make a difference to the lives of isolated older people, whether this year or the next. Today, we’re giving you three options, and we’d love you to take action:

  1. To make it possible for us to continue our work, please consider donating to our charity. We’ve made it very simple, you can either text SNAT05 £5 to 70070 to give £5 (or £1, £2, £3 and £10 if you prefer) or you can donate on our website.
  2. If you are an older person facing the day alone and would rather be in company, or you know of anybody in this situation, please get in touch.
  3. If there is something going on in your area and you still have space for people we urgently need to hear from you. It could be a table made available in a local restaurant, a mince pie at a local leisure centre, or anything else that creates a space for people to experience companionship on Christmas Day.

With your help, we’re working towards a day where everything who wants to spend Christmas Day with others can do so.
